Changing presets but keeping fx used

Post by Rockshamrover »

Hi folks,
I'm just wondering if it's possible to do the following.

I load up a preset, lets say an EP and I add an arp and some reverb etc. I like what the arp and reverb are doing and i want to change the preset instrument, but keep my FX. Is this possible?

Thanks

Save the presets as a preset group (forgot what that's called).. You can call up that specifying grouping of presets. I think it's a drop down on the top right of the mixer menu and probably a control-click on the preset name in the list.

Thanks MLC, I think I figured it out :)

I tried the "load as layers" thing at the bottom of the main screen, so it lets me have multiple versions of presets for the same instrument, I can then have the same fx on each. Mute the ones I don't like etc.

It's a bit long winded, but it's working :)

I'm on my machine now. At the top of your inserts there's a gray box. Select SAVE INSERT SETTINGS.

Then when you want to call up that setup, hit the gray box again and the saved insert (which you can and should give a name to or it defaults to a lucg name) will appear in the center drop down menu.

THAT is how you do it.
