Different keygroups to different outputs in MF [RESOLVED]

Post by FMiguelez »

Hello.

I can almost swear I used to be able to do this... I want to assign different keygroups (in the same layer) to different outputs. I can see the assignments (in the Tee and List views) and the parameters in there for programs and parts, but not for keygroups or even layers.

I've looked all over MF, read the manual, and nothing. I can't seem to remember.

Would you refresh my memory, please? I really need to figure this out :smash:

Thanks!

I finally found my answer...

By monkeying around, I found that you can choose which elements you want to see in the Inspector columns in Tree and List views.

The outputs don't show up by default, so one must right-click on the column headers to get a list of all kind of parameters, including the output, one may bring into view.

I think it's pretty amazing you can assign different outputs at the keygroup level. This makes it so flexible. I really love MachFive :unicorn:

So I am not turning crazy, as I initially thought!

Well... this proves nothing.
You still could be completely nuts you know...

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Agreed. He is nuts.

'Nandito, just FWIMBW, I'm pretty sure my old EIV series sampler allowed multiple audio assignments from the same layer. As a matter of fact, AFAICR all my previous samplers to this one allowed it too, right back to the very early '90s.

Yeah, that right-click thing's easy to forget about; we're used to menus' being more-or-less fixed, which is why it's also easy to forget that pressing the option key adds choices to the Finder's ones.

Glad you figured it out, matey.
