Here comes a demo for the patch "Feedback Beings" made from/with self resonating feedback samples in granular mode created with an electric guitar, an amp and some post-processing, layered with an analog stack synth to enhance the tonality and add some warmth. In the background occasionally some bass notes chime in using the lower drone sounds of the patch Flageolet Spaces Split (Cello) - have a good trip:

Here is a demonstration video for "Guitar Flageolet Synth" from Ambient Strings which now has a scripted interface and the snapshot system implemented.

10 different classical guitar (nylon strings) flageolet pitches sampled at 5x round robin, extended to the lower regions so the instrument range becomes C1-C5. Layered with an FM synth in unison mode. Velocity controls attack time (inverted), Modwheel (and interface controller) controls detune of the FM synth. Amongst other things, the synth module can be tuned to intervals (+5/+7/+12 semitones).

Here is demonstration of the patch "Minor Clouds Split" which now also has a scripted interface.

Minor Clouds Split
In the lower half a processed arpeggiated cello minor texture is playing in granular mode (root: D2, range C0-C3), in the upper half there is a processed violin cloud derived from arpeggiated minor chords playing in granular mode (root: G4). Both sounds are layered with a synth module which produces fast minor arpeggios, set the arpeggio speed of the synth in the interface, control the granular speed of the string clouds with the control knob, scan through the samples using the Modwheel or the interface control. Overlapping split point is C3.

Today was flageolet day, here is a demo impro for the patch "Flageolet Meditation" - playing long overtone transitions with natural harmonics on the open cello strings (up to 1+ minute long), these are layered with their respective long bowed route note. 3 keyswitchable combos are available, route + tuned harmonics (tuning all harmonics to a tempered scale with Melodyne which took many hours as it doesn't work well automatically), route + original harmonics (as played), and route+tuned harmonics in unison mode where there is a sample offset between the 2 overtone cellos, so you have two cellos playing harmonics on top of each other plus the route. Volume controls for route + overtones are available, sample position can be controlled, temposynced amplitude and filter modulation can be introduced, temposyncced pitch modulation (square-shaped up to +/- 1 octave), chorus/analog delay, and reverb controls are there too.

This is such a beautiful patch, I'll also make some granular versions.

Played live on HD tweaking the 8 Macros and the wheel on the impro fly:

Here comes first impro demo with my freshly sampled and patched Ibanez classical guitar:

Classical Guitar 3Vel RR3
An acoustic classical guitar (nylon strings) sampled between E1-A#4 at every minor third with 3x round robin and 3 velocity layers. In the lowest octave the 3rd velocity layer uses rattling string, a sound which can't be achieved in the higher ranges. In addition to the regular L-C-R micophone setup a DI-boxed pickup signal was mixed in, all signals were phase-aligned.

Playing the impro in a first pass also using Aftertouch for small glissandi and vibrati, then tweaking some of the controls in the script in a second pass (Chorus depth/mix, reverb stuff, velocity to LP filter cutoff, adding a koto-like gliss with an envelope sometimes), so this patch has a scripted interface.

Sampleconstruct wrote:This is a demo for the patch Vc Vln Tremolo Mix using long mutisampled tremolo samples, each note has 2 dynamic waves where the bow moves towards the brigde and back creating a transition of harmonics, a keyswitch let's you add a wavetable synth which uses an imported single cycle from a cello sustain, you can control it's volume in the interface. The cello plays up to C3, then the violin takes over up to C5, all thirds (sometimes minor, sometimes major) were sampled. Sample start can be randomized with the Modwheel (up to 50%) or you can set sample start with a controller. Lot's of filtering and FX options/sounds are available.

No, I'll ask the scripter if we can add that feature in a future update, but for the release they won't be.

Here comes a demo for the patch Solo Pizz Phrases Split, altogether there will be 30+ keyswitchable cello phrases, licks and accents in that patch which were recorded/sampled yesterday - alway grouped in split trios mapped over 2 octaves each, this first demo uses 9 of those, keyswitching and changing sample start position with a Macro on the fly, two other patches from AS play in the background:

I'll also make a granular version, so we can stretch and particle-ize those phrases to infinity :)

This patch combines/layers the multisampled classical guitar with 2 MachFive synth modules, analog stack and wavetable (using a single cycle imported from an ebow sound), this will also be a scripted patch with all the controls the solo guitar has plus volume controls for the two different synth modules and some other goodies.

Here comes a demo video for the patch Feedback Being which now has a scripted interface:

Description
Various electric guitar feedback textures (amped) and an analog stack synth are used in this patch, four different sound combinations are available via keyswitches or the switches in the interface, instrument range is C1-C4.
Layer 1 in granular mode plays a long and strange texture with self resonating feedbacks, controls for sample speed and grain position (also assigned to Aftertouch) are available.
The analog stack synth in Layer 2 plays a warm dark pad sound, a sub oscillator can be added with a switch
Layer 3 plays two heavily distorted feedback drones in sampling mode split across the keyboard (overlapping split at C3), run through tuned bandpass filters.
Each layer has it's dedicated volume control. In the FX section the UVI vinyl module can be switched on/off for some vintage vibe from the 1930s, transporting the feedback beings back in time.

Here comes a demo video for the patch EG Dark Layers which now has a scripted interface.

Description
EG Dark Layers
3 keyboard zones each play a combination of processed electric guitar textures, chords, single accents and electronic sounds, each layer has a volume control, the phrase in layer 2 in the middle region runs in granular mode and has a speed control. All sounds in the second layer can be tuned up an octave. Various filtering options are availble, synced amplitude modulation can be added, full FX control in the interface.
Combo 1 - C1 - C3 - Layer 1: MachFive's Wavetable synth and guitar drone, Layer 2: another distorted guitar drone
Combo 2 - C3 - C5 - Layer 1: Processed single note with whammy bar glissando, Layer 2: processed solo phrase in granular mode
Combo 3 - C5 - C7 - Layer 1: Processed arpeggiated minor chord, Layer 2: the same sample, but reversed

This patch was used in this audio demo which I posted 4 weeks ago, combined with another patch from Ambient Strings:
