Hi, does anyone know of any MIDI controllers these days that have the ability to transmit 'note on/off' in a 'toggle-styles'?
I know that some pad controllers do this, but I'd like to map some shows in MachFive 3 to be controlled from my MIDI keyboard, not from pads.
Or, I'm trying to understand if there is something in MachFive itself that will respond to a keynote on / keynote off through a modulation setting, layer setting, or something.
Trying to figure it out. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

ahhh!.... perhaps 'latch mode' if the audio file is loaded as a 'slice'?

Got it! (how to trigger and play/stop audio files with one key, instead of using a pad controller)
- import audio file to MachFive mapping area; assign to a key
- choose 'Slice'
Then, simply adjust the following parameters:
- Markers: use 'imported' (this off the slices, if you want to just trigger the audio file as the original file plays)
- turn on 'Latch' (it lights up)
- Trigger: 'Immediate'
- Sync: 'off'
Nice!

For what it worth you can use Latch mode on any oscillator including the default sample playback. It's just that the slice oscillator display it directly in its interface.
Just go to the List View, in the Keygroup column view, right click the header to display the latch column then change its value.
Hope this helps.
