Cannot Edit MIDI Devices in Audio MIDI Setup

Post by evensongpro »

Recently, due to a software malfunction, I was forced to reinstall all of the applications on my 2010 MacMini. After I finished, I plugged in all of my gear and went to Audio MIDI Setup to reconfigure my setup and not all of my devices were showing up and the ones that did show up could not be edited. I have some older gear that uses traditional MIDI connections that I need to add back into the setup.

When I reinstalled, I did go from El Capitan to Sierra but that was the only difference. Now when I double click on a piece, all of the edit options are grayed out and when I right-click for the contextual menu all of the options are grayed out.

I have tried restarting, rebooting in safe mode, clearing the caches, etc. with no luck. Does anyone have a solution that will work to get my system back up and running? Here is the gear I am using:

Hardware:

MacMini 2010 running macOS 10.12.06
Motu 828 (Original)
Korg microKONTROL keyboard
Yamaha KX76 (MIDI routed through microKONTROL)
Roland JV 1080 (MIDI routed through generic 1x1 USB MIDI Interface)
Lexicon MX200 Multi Effects Processor (USB)
Korg nanoKONTROL USB control surface

Software:

Digital Performer 8.07
MachFive 3.2.1
Finale 25.5.0.259
Various Native Instruments software instruments and plugins
Various East-West Composer Cloud libraries
Various Waves plugins

Thank you in advance for your help.
