I downloaded the combo updater just now, as I just noticed I allowed the App Store to do the most recent update, and as the issue with the "Original Folder" for four aliases (Downloads, Music, Pictures, Movies) may possibly explain some of the "missing" audio/MIDI stuff that is apparently behind the BIAS Peak Pro and Ivory crashes.

I'll try to remember to check back in a half hour from now, when it is all done and the reboot has stabilized the system for a refreshed 10.12.6 upgrade.

UPDATE: Oh well, one can hope at least. I feel confident that Synthogy/Ilio will get my remaining Ivory problems worked out, as it's a brand-new release and they have strong incentive to make sure everything works on every system due to just releasing new product (a new library).

It may be too early to say, but I feel like 10.12.6 is stabler than 10.12.5 in terms of inter-app interference being less likely to cause hiccups.

Update on Acrobat... I ran the CS 5.5 installer from the CD and all is well again. No re-authorization was required. Thanks, Mike, for the leads.

Lucky that you still have the CD's, and that this fixed your problem.

I accidentally left all of my CD/DVD installers in a box that was under a porch that I thought was water-tight and wasn't, so all got mildewey and thrown out.

Adobe is one of the few remaining companies that still treats original installer media as a sort of license dongle of sorts, or as the best clean install method. :-)

To be fair, that's only because many of us are sticking with CS 4 through CS6. :-)

I found the CS5.5 Installers here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/ ... loads.html

Clicking on the installer, I got an error message. So, from the .dmg, I created a Disk Image in Toast. When done, I double-clicked on it and it mounted. The Installer now runs.

This can be done in Disk Utility or iTunes but Toast is faster and easier.
