There've been a handful of times when I would have reached for a vocoder for some special audio task or mangling. I've been hanging on to a Boss VF-1 because it has a vocoder, but otherwise, I don't really need it anymore.
The Melda Vocoder looks staggeringly good. The feature-set is killer!! And it isn't very expensive.
Does anyone use it? Can you comment on how reliable it is, and any cautions you might offer?
thx

I saw one review from about 4 years ago that said it can be a CPU hog when set at more extreme settings. OTOH, it has such ridiculously detailed controls for a power-user.
I'd be curious to see how smoothly it runs in DP when you get something like 40 bands of vocoder going. (that's less than half of what it can run at).
