Interfacing Mac w/ PC Slave

More computer stuff.....!
My wife just went nuts over Oculus so we will be purchasing a pretty high end PC to run it. It got me thinking about trying to find a way to also use the PC as a slave to my studio iMac by running Vienna Ensemble Pro, which would be timely as I now have a lot of memory eating virtual instruments.
The PC will be in another room so it seems the only practical way to do this would be over WIFI.
Possible? What additionally would I need in the hardware department? I've used PCs only sporadically over the years so am not an expert by any stretch.
