Updating OS - software auths

I'm running 10.6.8 OS with DP 7.24. Was thinking of updating (not clean install) to Yosemite. Would I have to de-authorize DP and plugins before updating or can I just do the update and the authorizations for DP and plugins will be okay and ready to use without re authorizations. Any help would ease my mind before I make any move.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how it will be for 7.24 but when I upgraded Mavericks to Yosemite, DP 9 made me re-enter my keycode. It wasn't a big hassle. Most plugin auths were fine, particularly the iLok ones.

DP 7.24 won't require reauthorization if you are just updating the OS.

OTOH, if you have to reinstall, it will reauthorize if you have a DP 7 CD through El Capitán.

7.24 works in Sierra if the OS was updated but you cannot install DP 7.24 properly in OS 10.12.

Thanks for the comeback - I feel more confident abut doing the update!
