I have no idea if it's El Cap compatible but I use Twisted Wave for that and most other conversions. It can do batch file conversions as well—a real time saver. Cult of Mac often offers it in the $15–$20 range.XLD (I use it for conversion from flac to wav only)
I haven't looked at Audacity in ages but I remember that it could do that conversion as well. Am I remembering incorrectly?
