I just noticed on the UAD site version 8.5 software is no longer tested for OS 10.8. So I am curious to find out if anyone still on that OS has tried UAD 8.5, and does it work. Looks like I might have to update my OS. Is there any way of getting "Yosemite". I prefer not to install "El Capitan".
Thanks

If you have an FTP site or Dropbox account that can handle a 6G upload, I can get Yosemite to you at no charge. The actual size is 5.73G.
You can also send me an empty DVD case and a self addressed, stamped envelope and I'll burn it to a DVD–DL if you send me an 8G USB stick or SDHC card and return postage, I'll burn it for you. Postage for a DVD runs just under $3.
I don't know if you can get it from the Apple Store. If you take in an 8G USB stick or SDHC card, they can load it for you—I don't know if they will.
If you know anyone who has had Yosemite installed, they can download a copy for you from the App Store. It is important that they zip the file before It is copied over to media or uploaded to a server — this eliminates the possibility of file permission issues (been there, done that, learned the lesson). Unzipping the file on your desktop gives your Mac permission to open and run the installer.

Thanks for the offer Mike, I found someone local who can get Yosemite for me.
