Possible to flash video card eprom firmware?
I have been gifted an nVideoQuadro 4000 video card, but it's a pull from a Windows machine. Is it possible to flash the eprom on this card to make it compatible with a MacPro 5,1 running Mavericks?

Is it worth the effort to run Windows on the Mac? Would that work?

I think you're pulling my leg again, Mike... but it's a serious question. An associate who does silent film restoration just upgraded his (Windows) system and offered me the card gratis. Heck, you might even know him...MIDI Life Crisis wrote:Is it worth the effort to run Windows on the Mac? Would that work?

My understanding is that you can – lots of chatter to that effect. From what I am reading, it has to be done on a PC. I found a download link for the Mac ROM.ghobish wrote:I have been gifted an nVideoQuadro 4000 video card, but it's a pull from a Windows machine. Re: Possible to flash video card eprom firmware?
I was joking. I went to high school with Gary and play for an LA comedy show with another guy who went to school with us. Obviously that doesn't make me a very good comic. LolJames Steele wrote:Hmmm... I guess you lost me on that one also.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I was serious. Don't get used to it.
