OSX 10.10.4

Re: OSX 10.10.4
I'm using 3 of the Crucial SSDs that are supposedly susceptible to data corruption under Linux, when I was running Mavericks I was unaware of this issue and was using Trim Enabler, I did not notice any issues but of course I do not know for sure. Since installing Yosemite I have not used Trim.
Does anyone know for sure that OS X does not use the same Trim commands (NCQ (queued) TRIM commands ?) that cause these issues under Linux . TBH this all a bit above my technical understanding but there seems to be conflicting reports on this.
Thanks

I'm going to add a smiley after that. Please consider how a posted message looks to someone else. If I didn't know you, that would come off as a little dismissive. Thanks!mikehalloran wrote:Upgrade to 10.10.4

Re: OSX 10.10.4
I found a bug, I think.
When I minimize the iTunes window and a song is playing, it logs me out of my User Account on my iMac. Normally, I log in automatically and never see this screen. Fortunately, after logging back in, my 70 or so tabs of Chrome on three monitors re-connect. If a song is not playing, the window collapses just fine. I tried this 4 times in a row, rebooted and had the same thing happen again.
Anyone else experiencing this? I am not seeing this on any of the support forums (plenty of other iTunes issues but not this).
If not, I wonder what the issue is. Besides iTunes, I have only Chrome, Apple Mail and the DisplayLink drivers for my USB monitor running. I tried quitting Chrome and Mail – no change.
If no one else is experiencing this, I'll fire up Console to see what is happening and call AppleCare. When you do an OS install or upgrade, you have a window for free call-in support.

Re: OSX 10.10.4
Well, the support boards are going nuts over the screen issue in iTunes. Weird how the normal report is that it affects everything and, when I ask, the user finally realizes it doesn't affect anything else.
The workaround is still to leave the screem size alone when any music is playing.
So bottom line: iTunes has a GUI/screen bug. Apple needs to fix it. Until that happens, doing anything else is just a waste of time. Life is too short to fiddle with something one can't fix.

Re: OSX 10.10.4
There's an iTunes 12.2.1 update that came out this afternoon. At first the behavior was the same but after I rebooted the issue was fixed.
