Kludgy videos in Safari and Chrome SOLVED!

Post by MIDI Life Crisis »

Hey Mac kids...

My online video playback was skipping and then today stuff on my own site was getting a plug-in error. If I had more hair I'd be pulling it out. I spent HOURS on the internet looking for a solution and the answer was FLIP FOR MAC! (Found it myself, thank you very much.)

No, don't get it, get RID of it. Go to the user/Library/Safari and delete the FlipForMac files. All fix.

The end.

If you used the installer for Flip4Mac, you can do a search with CMD-F, and the uninstaller should show up.

Probably so. Thing is I didn't know it was FFM and was eliminating the extensions in sequence until the problem went away. I'm guessing I don't really need FFM any longer but I'll try re-applying the installer if I do. Thanks for the tip (so to speak...)

I really posted the "tip" for others who decide to remove FFM, and might not know where to find all the guilty files.

Oooops! Actually they were in library/internet plugins but when I reinstalled FFM (I have the $%0 pro version) the same problem reared it's head and the files were not where they were before. New install I suppose. Anyway, if you go to Applications and the Flip for Mac folder the Uninstaller is there and it does work to fix the problem.

I'll contact the vendor for sure.
