Converting to AAC

Post by kilday »

Help!!

This is an easy question....I have recorded some tracks in DP 4, saved them into i tunes, and now I want to compress them...into AAC format... I tried to do this, however after looking at the specs on the songs, I saw before and after the megs were unchanged at 18mb.

Did I do something wrong? THis is a three minute song, it has 2 tracks with minimal plug ins, so I thought it would be rather small in size...

Can Anyone Advise?

Thanks,

Kilday

"unchanged at 18mb" ? So your original file is 18 MB ? Then it's more like 2 mn instead of 3, right ?...

When you select your file in iTunes, do you see "Convert selection to AAC" in the 'advanced' menu ?

What are your settings in the 'importing' prefs ?
