HELP!! There is no such volume (-35)

Post by Crashdown »

Hi guys,
still rumblin with my ol' DP 3.11...
I am having this "unusual" problem:
Everytime I try to grab a plug-in from the mixing desk or a soundbite from the soundbites window, I get this message:

MacOs error:
There is no such volume(-35)
Does anyone know what this is about??
I am really tired of searching the net...
( At first, a reboot helped, but now it's always giving me this error message.)

Do u think this is an OS Problem or is it related to DP 3.11?
Any solution? I can't risk loosing this work I'm starting to mix...

Thanks in advance
Toni

It says right in the error message that's it's OS related. The volume directory for your main drive is messed up. Run a disc utility like Norton Disc Doctor, then rebuild the desktop upon restart.

Except - NOT Norton. Try Drive 10, Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro. They are all fine products. Of course yu can check & repair your disk for free using the OS X install CD or booting into single-user mode and running a FileSystem check from there.

BTW, Norton was end of lifed many months ago - and was buggy as hell even then. They never quite got the hang of OS X.

Or, PSP VintageWarmer could be your culprit if you've got it in your plugin folder.
