Dual Layer DVD

I purchased a dual layer DVD burner from Other World Computing that came with NTI Dragon burn, but it doesn't burn Dual Layer DVD's. Seems stupid that they included something that doesn't fully support the item it's sold with - but oh well.

They then told me to buy Toast Titanium, as this is the only program that burns DL DVD's. I bought it.

I tried burning one that turned into a very expensive coaster. I'm afraid to try again, since the DL DVD's cost about $20 each. Anybody hit this wall and found a solution?
