BFD Problem...

Post by visiblecow »

Hi, I appear to have a problem with BFD on my Mac. The program would not load up properly (either by itself or as plug-in), and so I thought I would do a re-install. Now after installing both DVD's the drum kits are there but the program itself is not there. I had the latest version off the website.
Any clues...?
Cheers

How curious.

Try this (if you haven't already):

-- Remove all BFD data from your hard drive.

-- Copy your BFD DVD installation data to your hard drive (at least the first DVD -- that's the one with the app on it).

-- Reinstall BFD using the installation data you just copied to your hard drive.

Some people have encountered some hiccups when installing directly from CD or DVD. Installing off a hard drive often alleviates that problem. It's been a while since I installed BFD, but I think I needed to do this to load one of the kits.

Hope this works for you. BFD's a nice app once it's up and running.

I may have done the same thing. When I went to install the program it looked like it got hung up at the end of the install as the install bar went right to the end but seemed to freeze. To make a long story very short, it takes a long time to load the program.

Is this the same problem that you are having? I just let the install disk finish (and it did take a while).

I hope this helped!

Peace
