EDIT: I've moved this discussion over to http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... =3&t=58416
The current MacPro 12 core 2.7GHz with 30MBs of L3 Chance, or the 6 core 3.5 GHz with 12MB of L3 Cache?
I would think the 12-core for our purposes because spreading the work amongst the 12 (or 24 threads), rather than only 6 cores (12 threads). I see DP and VEPro working evenly with the cores. So I've got to guess the 12-core.
I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere. Not including MP benchmarks, can someone tell me which computer is actually faster for a DP, VEPro and Kontakt orchestral template?
I would appreciate hearing from someone that has actually used or compared these MacPros. Don't need benchmarks.
Thanks
Which MacPro recommended for a DP, VEPro, Kontakt orch rig?
