Hi all,
I'm putting 8 gig of extra RAM into my early 2008 Mac Pro. I'm know I have to use the slots in order, but do I have to put the different sizes of RAM in a particular order?
I have 12 gigs now, and I believe they are spread out (in pairs) 4 GB, 4 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB.
So, and I hope I'm being clear enough, should the 8 GB pair go before the 4 GBs (say, in the 1 slot), after, or does it make any difference?
Thanks!
Darrell

They usually just have to be matched pairs in the slot numbers.
