I've often wondered how to get rid of that also, I think they should have sampled a real toaster popping out a fresh piece of toast rather than that stupid high pitch ding. If I find where that sound file is located,I will switch it with a real toaster sound.
Powerbook G4 1.67ghz (15"), 828mkII, rockit 8 monitors, and lots of coffee on those long late night sessions.

I found that if you turn value from 7 to 1 in the system prefs for toast, I'll be honest I stumbled on it, and it worked but I can't remember how I got to thr programing pane for toast SoundManager setting in the toast control pane?????
I'm worthless.
