reason slow to kick in to dp

when i record inable an audio track in dp, reasons MIDI feed is slow to kick in. It's like dp hick-ups then it kicks in fine. iv'e tried everything and dont know the next step. Reason with dp worked better for me in os9 than it does in 10. I am using reason 2.5 and dp 4.5. This hesitation in MIDI feed only happens when i record enable a track.
