How to route to two different outputs?

Post by ghobish »

I have a situation where I want to route audio from a Webex conference session in a browser or the Webex application (basically, system audio) to both my Motu 828 AND a Plantronics bluetooth earpiece. I have no problem going to either one, selected in the Sound prefs panel; i thought setting up an aggregate device in Audio/MIDI Setup might let me do that, but I've only been able to as far as:

1) again, send output to either but not both, or
2) crashing the thing.

I also took a look at Soundflower but that seems to be limited to sending from 1 applcation--> 1 output.

Has anyone got an idea how to do this?

Of course, as soon as I posted this I found the "Multi-Output Device" in Audio/MIDI Setup...

Doesn't seem quite stable, though. If there's a better suggestion I'd like to hear it.

Thanks-
