multiple express xt appear after update

Post by jeff sanders »

i been getting this thing where i have multiple instances of my midiexpess xt showing in my audio/MIDI setup window. i go and remove them and restart and they're gone but they keep returning after i reboot. I'm pretty sure i never had this before latest software update. can i rollback or should i try fixing it another way please? i searched forums and read the troubleshooting and did the permissions. i'll try and catch exactly when it happens today for a clue. anyone else ever get this? sorry if this is a repeat question. jeff

That is usually fixed by updating the MOTU drivers as well as the Mac OS. This was a problem on the Track 16 as well. THe temporary fix was to be sure the device was turned off before you shut down the Mac. Current drivers and OS don't have this problem any more so you might want to check your drivers on the MOTU site.
