iConnectMidi2

Post by Nunu »

Anybody using this ? Looks very interesting - connecting MIDI & audio between Mac & iOS both ways…

Not only does iConnectMIDI2+support two computer devices simultaneously – Macs, PCs, and iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch) – its Audio passThru™ technology routes audio between them digitally with zero signal degradation, simply appearing as an audio interface to the operating systems.

That has interesting possibilities.

I have a JL Cooper CS-32 usb controller that hasn't worked since OS 10.6 - no drivers but it supposedly should work with HUI which no one can seem to make work. If something like this could properly buffer the signals so that DP could understand them, I'd be a happy camper indeed.

It might be worth spending the $100 just to see what it could do for me. Lord knows, I haven't used my MTP AV in years - perhaps it's time to sell it.

I'd love to buy it but where I am it's out of stock. The iConnectMidi4 looks great too, same plus 4 MIDI ports & ethernet, but it has not been released yet.

Hmmmmm... perhaps they need three advanced beta testers?

I known this thread is old, but I just picked up an iConnectMidi2 and I'm getting quite a bit of latency with it.

Is anyone else using one, and do you have any pointers for dealing with the latency?

Thanks,
Yavn

When you mention latency, what is your buffer size on your software set to? A buffer setting of 128 or 64 should have very little latency.
