No Way! I've always said, "I'm waiting for Snow Lion", but I didn't think they'd actually do it! When I first saw this I thought it was April Fools, but even Macrumors has it, and if they have it, you know it's true!

I don't like the way they're going. Next it will be Bobcat, then Maine Coon Cat, and finally "Tabby." We can all throw out our gear when Tabby rolls out.

So much for the Mercedes Benz VS regular car thing they were marketing before, now it's all about mobility, no Mac Pros in the promos which isn't surprising.
Looks like I'm on Snow Leopard until I'm forced off it unless some cool new audio features come out etc. but that mainly means a new version of Audio Units which wouldn't be tied to a system...

Apple Releases Mountain Lion

The direction Apple is going is disturbing to say the least.....
The dumbing down of Apple looks like a tech lobotomy.
I got home tonight looked @ my email and there is a phishing type email from the apple store( looks russian) with a bogus bill for a $699.99 order! wtf!
how secure is app store?
I'm starting to think the bliss of not having hackers and virus mf'ers in the Mac world is not true anymore or not for much longer.
I think Apples success the last few years has them changing directions, and all of the maggots and fly's that smell the $$ trail are following.
Apples model of convenience has it's drawbacks.

Just for the sake of clarification:
Apple haven't *released* Mountain Lion. They've announced its released for this summer.

I got the same thing, but I’m pretty positive that’s not an email from the apple store. It’s just a phishing email that looks like it’s from the apple store, and a damn good job too. But I get them from all kinds of places, it really has nothing to do with Apple, you could make one if you wanted.
If you use Mail, hold you cursor over the link before you click it. A little bubble will pop up telling you where the link goes. If it doesn’t say what it’s supposed to then don’t click it.
