Is anyone using an RME interface with DP9.1 on Windows 10?

Post by PoliticalBonobo »

I just picked up a Fireface UFX and found that it's really not working well at all with 9.1. At 2048 samples, it won't even play (extremely choppy, Playback and Processor meters spiking). I tested on DP9.02 and it plays much better (down to 128 samples), but is still fairly laggy and not very responsive. I'm reaching out everywhere I can (MOTU, RME, forums) to see if this is fixable. Otherwise, I'll have to decide to return it very soon.

Is anyone using a similar configuration? It's hooked up via USB 2.0.

I'm not a Windows user I use OSX here, this just doesn't sound right RME has great drivers and are known not to be " laggy " at all.
I'm using a RME FF UCX and had a FF800 before that.
Have you contacted SynthAx? They are the distributor here in the USA for RME,Jeff is extremely knowledgable and quite helpful. If you haven't called him I suggest you do asap (954) 626-0674.

Good luck,

I know! This isn't what I expected at all from what I hear of RME!

I'm actually working with Jeff on it, too.

I thought I'd give an update on this. MOTU figured out the issue with DP9.12 and the RME driver and will provide a fix with the next DP update.
