Yamaha Motif xf8 midnam patch change problem

Hi,
I found a midnam file for the Yamaha Motif XF8 that didn't come loaded in DP8. I now see the banks and correct patch names, but when I select a patch in the Tracks window of DP, the patch name with the next highest number plays, In other words, if I select Patch 101 in DP, Patch 102 plays in the Motif XF8.
I have tried using a few different midnam files and get the same result. I'm looking for a way to save the correct patch in the MIDI tracks. Selecting the patch number with a different patch name than what I want to use doesn't seem like an great way to work.
There must be a way to do this, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions that might share?
