Audio Clicks and Pops

Post by petermoon »

HI Everyone. I'm having the strangest issue with DP 9 on Win 7 PC 64 Bit.
Happens in every project - There's a granular sounding audio clicking and popping. If I mouse click and hold the up and down scroll bar at the right of DPs mixing board window, the clicking and popping go away. Release it, popping comes back. I can also make the popping go away by clicking and holding the scroll bar at bottom of tracks window. Release it, back comes the popping. Any ideas? I also have Cubase installed on this same computer. Cubase is functioning well with no problems. Gotta be honest, I'm being forced to use Cubase in order to get any work done. I'd really rather use DP (I have been using it for last 15 years on MAC) but DP 9 just doesn't seem to like my PC!

Are you using a cordless mouse? I'd try using another wired one.

Also check for cables crossing. USB data can cause static interference. The fact the it's connected to input device activity is telling.
