DP 8--DirectMusic MIDI clock error message

Post by digital dog »

This has likely been discussed before but I have found no solution. I apologize if that is the case.

I finally got my new studio set up using the web site download of Windows Digital Performer 8 and the MIDI won't play. On DP startup I get the message: "DirectMusic MIDI clock does not appear to be running".

I have installed drivers for an M-Audio's M-Track Plus USB interface.

I have unhooked the interface and tried to run MIDI alone, same problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Not sure, but I need to move this to the "troubleshooting" forum. It's OT here. :)
