Anybody using Vmeter with Win DP8?

Post by Palestrina7 »

Is anyone successfully using one of those marvelous little USB controllers called a VMeter in Windows DP? (see http://www.vmeter.net) A search of the forums for users came up empty. It's an interactive controller LED strip that is much easier to use than a modwheel. My problem is that it will work fine in DP8 as long as I disconnect my MicroExpress interface. I can attach it to any controller and get instant feedback on position, but I can't be running my MIDI interface to my slave PC at the same time, totally defeating the whole purpose of recording nice, smooth volume curves as I listen to a track.

As soon as the Micro is hooked up, the signal from the VMeter goes INTO DP, as shown on my MIDI Monitor, but won't LEAVE DP to get to my Kontakt PC. So far, VMeter folk haven't been able to help, because they don't have a Micro. Maybe I will have to send them mine for a while. But if anybody has any experience, I would surely like to hear about it. Thanks.
