With any H264 video, cpu usage is rather high (30% or so) with frequent spikes and audio dropouts, with just a single audio track.
The only video format it seems to play reasonably well is MPeg4. It won't import PJpeg, which is my standard low compression format for ProTools and Nuendo. All of the videos tested run fine in PT, Nuendo and Quicktime Pro, so it can't be a missing codec, unless DP requires additional codecs.
Any ideas why DP is having a hard time with even short H264 videos?
This is the downloaded demo installer, authorized with my DP8 license, so it should be the full version (not positive about that, but until my Win8 install disc arrives, I can't compare).
Video playback - high cpu load and spikes
