I was informed that the issue will be fixed in an upcoming update. I the meantime, they suggested trying ASIO4ALL

Re: DP 8.02 "could not find" Focusrite hardware (Win 7)
I have an I7 laptop with Win 7 64-bit. I was a longtime DP user on the Mac, probably from 1995. I've switched everything to PC now and it has worked out great. So, I installed the DP 8 demo two weeks ago. It wouldn't recognize my Tascam firewire interface (FW-1804), which every other audio app has no problems with. So, I put it aside until today and I tried running it again. It completely froze up while scanning VST plug-ins. I had to halt it using Task Manager. I uninstalled it.

Do you have the latest audio drivers installed for the Tascam hardware?djsmps wrote:I have an I7 laptop with Win 7 64-bit. I was a longtime DP user on the Mac, probably from 1995. If so, report this problem to MOTU and install ASIO4all and use the Tascam with that in the meantime. I´m sure MOTU will fix this issue.
But to give them a chance to fix the issue, please send your crash report and issues to MOTU tech support.
