No sound unless POD HD500 is on and plugged into S/DIF

Post by Vinny D »

I have an Audio Express connected to a machine running Windows 8.1. I have a Pod HD500 guitar processor plugged into the S/PDIF input. I just discovered I get no sound from the Audio Express unless my Pod HD500 guitar processor is on and plugged into the S/PDIF input. If I turn off the Pod, no sound. If I unplug the cable from the S/PDIF jack, no sound. This seems strange to me. What can I do to get around this? I'd rather not have to have the Pod on whenever I just want to listen to music. Thanks.

Sounds like your interface is slaved to the digital input. Check your interface clock settings.

That was it. The master clock source was set to S/PDIF. Thanks.
