I keep getting an error message:
Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.
Anyone know a workaround?
I've tried disabling virus protection and running SFC and found some corrupted windows files that were repaired successfully, but still DP installation fails.

Sorry, I've installed DP a number of times since last spring and on Windows 7 32bit it has been a smooth install. I even put it on Windows 8 64bit for a spin and it was the same.
However, I have seen a problem once with this service (windows installer) not working. My solution was drastic, I reinstalled Windows (since I was already at the install phase anyways)

Try right-clicking the installer, and select run as administrator.
That helps for some, depending on user permissions, etc.
Hope you get it sorted...it installs fine here (win 7-8 x64).
