Hey guys,
I´m using Cubase Pro9 and a Motu Track16. What´s best practice to use an external compressor.
Using the Main Out 1/2 as default Outputs and using the Line-Out-L as SendBus to hardware and Line-In-L als ReturnBus.
Appreciate any help or hints cause I never used outboard gear.
Btw I´m using an IGS Alter 500 with inside a Radial Workhorse lunchbox.

Re: Track16 how to send to external Compressor
Try this out if it is possible with a track 16, I've never used one. This how I use external hardware with Pro Tools.
In your DAW Make a audio track and to aux tracks and set them up like this if you have at least 2 inputs and 2 out puts on your interface. Now set them up like below.
Audio track
Input = Analog 1
Output = Bus1
Aux track "A"
Input Bus = 1
Output Output = 2
Aux track = "B"
Input = Input 2
Output = Main out
Also if you just want to record the audio compressed just run your cord from your guitar into the compressor line input then a wire from the compressor line output to the input on your track 16.
Hope this helps man.
