Yamaha Motif for Kontakt?

Post by wonder »

I have searched the web in the past few years and only found 1 guy on YouTube who sampled a few patches from the Motif line.

I loved the Motif sounds.

Anyone know of any Yamaha Motif VI's on the market?

I'd sure buy it if there was such a thing.

But Motif rack units can be picked up pretty cheap. Check eVilBay and CL.

Hardware manufacturers have been notoriously slow at getting aboard the software train, and it's unfortunate, though understandable. Korg's been doing some, but there kit is still in the dark ages. When they first came out the Korg KLC, the Wavestation was only 17 years old. I'm been holding my breath for a Trinity soft synth now for a while, and it's currently 22 years old! Just goes to show, hardware synth tech hasn't really progressed much since the mid-90s, and companies know it. I see lots of people still playing synths from the mid-90s and it sounding totally natural. So it'll be a while before we begin getting "vintage" 90s softsynths, because they still compete today. Thankfully soft synth manufacturer's themselves offer a lot of great new things... different, but just as good.
