I know most AES/EBU inputs are D-sub with the XLR snake attached at the end. Is there a cable that is a single AES cable to 8 XLR or is this mainly used for clocking and not for inputs?
If it can be used for inputs, can I still use 16 channels via the two ADAT inputs AND AES or would AES replace one of the ADAT channels?
Thanks, I'm very new to recording (just took two courses in my undergrad) and I was thinking the 896mk3 was the best choice for me as I upgrade from a 003 Rack.
Just bought an 896mk3 and I have some questions
