Yeah, they do. And when they're done, just exactly as much understanding of music has occurred as when Tom Lehrer sang about economics.
Sure, communicating music is better done using music, but I don't think it, or anything, is so opaque that nothing is accomplished by other means. How about Eric Idle on astronomy?

When I think of the M. Mull quote, music critics and their blather always come to mind...

Back on topic, like others have mentioned, I have an EQ inserted post-delay on every delay plugin return in my template. Also, I sometimes use the DP delay set to short but asymmetrical left/right delays post my mono "character" delay to spread the mono delays.

I do like Waves H-Delay's interface, especially if inserting the delay on a track for special processing, where the post-delay EQ approach doesn't really work. Just stay away from the H-Delay's "analog" effect, unless you like to introduce hiss into your recordings.

I apologize for the delayed response. :sorry:

Well, AudioDeluxe has the Eventide UltraHarmonizer (H3000 Factory) on sale until the end of the month. As it is an unadvertised sale only communicated via email and hidden until you log in, I can't say what the price is, but I am definitely buying it as soon as work calms down enough for me to pay some bills, do taxes, and breathe.

Lots of interesting delay modes in that plug-in. And though I have the full SoundToys suite, which arguably is way more advanced (same people, but they've moved on), there's some classic stuff in here that I really "need". The demos remind me a lot of Depeche Mode from '84 to '98.

I received an email from Eventide this morning about the sale on this plugin. I'm not sure what the AudioDeluxe price is, but here's the Eventide link

I just picked up the H3000 from here http://eventideplugins.elasticbeanstalk.com/factory.jsp
Can't wait to check it out I played around with the hardware unit many years ago and searched not long ago for a used one.
I never forgot how great it sounded back then hopefully the plugin will do it justice.

AudioDeluxe is way cheaper than that, if you have an account, but the specific discount might also be based on how much you've bought from them. I have no way of knowing whether their loyalty discounts are pro-rated.

I had 15% off, but as Mark said perhaps I've got some built up clout because I've been a frequent shopper. A reminder that you do have to click on the blue 'audiodeluxe price' button to put it in the cart to see the discounted price.

If that doesn't work, it's worth sending them an email. They should get back to you within a day or so. The H3000 price is good through April 30th.

I look forward to some reviews on the H3000, looks interesting!

It shows as $168 for me on Audio Deluxe after logging in and adding it to the cart. Prior to that is shows as $199

Same for me - maybe they price based on how good lookin' you are, and a few of us are really damn handsome.

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Anyone tried or using Exponential Audio's Excalibur?

I think it looks pretty good too and the intro price of $119 ends tomorrow. Trying to decide between H3k & Excalibur.

Yep, that's the price I saw, but I considered it inappropriate to publish it here. I'm going to guess it's the same for all customers vs. based on a pro-rating scheme.
