I ordered a shure sm7b yesterday, waiting for it to be delivered in a few days, but im worried if my audio express can drive enough gain for me to get good recording results on tracks. Since i heard its got great vocal clarity yet its really quiet? Think 60-65db is advised for the mic, least other sites said that.
Anyone know what my interface puts out? or had experience with silent/quieter type mics?
Cause someone suggested http://www.thomann.de/gb/art_tube_mpc.htm this. but i dont know if i can plug a mic into that and output it into my interface. Not really got a huge knowledge as far as that goes. Plus im pretty much broke now. Hoping just the interface and mic will be fine.

I think it will be fine, why don't you just wait and try it out. The MOTU has at least 65 dB gain.
