Has anyone heard these monitors?

Here's where to talk about preamps, cables, microphones, monitors, etc.

Has anyone heard these monitors?

Post by wonder »

http://www.amazon.com/Prodipe-Powered-S ... o+Monitors

just saw a few people write on gearslutz about these monitors. they're wicked cheap and thought I'd see if anyone has heard them?

I'm looking for a cheap pair of monitors to use as a second pair of ears.

I haven't heard those, but a friend of mine who is setting up a home studio just picked up a pair of these:
http://www.amazon.com/KRK-RP6G2-Powered ... t+monitors

They are without question the best I've heard in that price range. If you're spending $150 on a monitor, you can't expect miracles, but these are a step up from the typical cheapos in that range.

$150 for the pair ... the price is certainly good. Two of the reviews say nothing except that the reviewers like them. The third reviewer wishes they were something else. So none of them are any help.

If all you are looking for is a second set of speakers then, I suppose, you get to tell us what they are like. I hope that you like them.

If accuracy in a really small package is the goal, then these with a calibrated sub are very hard to beat. I love mine. These replaced a pair of KRK RockIt 6.

Woah, that price is for the pair? Sorry, I read that wrong. I thought your budget was about $300. My bad.
