Burning a master disk.

Here's where to talk about preamps, cables, microphones, monitors, etc.

Burning a master disk.

Post by Nama »

Hello!

I finished my project, and am manufacturing it.
I was wondering what program I should use to make
a master Disk. I have a CD-R specifically made for mastering. (It cost $9!)
I have the latest CD Burner from Lacie.
(Firewire, external)
What program should I use?
I have Jam for OS9 and Toast for OS9

I guess they don't use a burner from lacie, or something to create a master disk. Do they?
But, that's all I have for now. I thought I'd like to use a good program to burn a master disk at least.

Thank you so much!

Jam will do the job quite nicely.

I generally set up the tracks in BIAS Peak and then save it as a Jam image from there and the burn in Jam.

Now, the latest versions of Peak have direct to CD burning without having to use Jam, but I have to upgrade my Peak to try that out. I still have version 3.x.

Like they said, you should use Jam. It works great for what you need.
