External Synth to hear DAW VST wet signal only

Post by steveturner »

Okay

Windows 10, Motu 624, Cubase 9.5, Maschine latest version etc, Moog Subs37 etc

I have set up a MIDI channel and an AUDIO channel, Moog Subsequent 37 correctly routes MIDI signal to Cubase MIDI channel, also correctly routes audio to Cubase Audio mono channel.

I have set up insert effects on Audio channel for delay etc.

When I hit the Speaker icon to monitor the audio channel in Cubase I hear the effected sound, but it is blended with dry.

I want to ONLY hear the effected sound.

What do I do?

Thanks,

Steve.

I'm having a hard time visualizing the deal, here. Can you be more specific about the routing?

Turn off hardware monitoring in your MOTU interface.

It appears that you are monitoring both thru your DAW and thru the 624's built-in hardware mixer. The hardware mixer is great to use when you need to run your DAW with larger buffers, hence higher latency, in a larger project.
