Actually, it's one of the harder ones to model, due to the complexity of how every combination of tonweheels is unique and variable, as well as the "player" aspects regarding the keybed, and the "performance" orientation of the gear (amps, Leslie cabinets, etc.), and age (key click percussion e.g.).

Not saying it was easy or even perfect, but we're way closer than acoustic piano. To this day, the two reigning champions of B3 software emulation are still B4-ii and VB3, both modeled (even if new ones like B5 have possibly overtaken them, they haven't established their longevity yet). By comparison, all modeled pianos sound completely wrong to my ears... not anywhere close.

Now... the day when we can accurately model tonewheels AND rotary speakers (without IRs)... that will be MONEY.

EDIT: Actually, I think rotary cabs are usually modeled, but the amp stage is not.
