Help with samples

Hi
i have several questions.
the first one is where i'm supposed to save my own samples to use with BPM or edit with BPM.where is the best location HD (application support/motu/BPM) or external HD or it doesn't matter?
How to rename the slice in the clip before saving them?
and the most important one since i have no idea about recording a tempo inside a file.
How can i record a tempo inside a file?
when i open a file inside the rack (strech or slice) the tempo is 10 times faster in compare of my saving loop.
last question and observation,i think BPM is a fantastic tool but is missig some details in the edit of a sample.
it 's missing also few extra explanation in the docs/manual to understand how to deal with the sample.
i'm a child explain to a child or a grandpa hwo to use BPM and the sampler,strech vs slice etc... and when and where to save my sounds in the process.
