Although the Samsung 850 EVO has become the modern workhorse, the Crucial MX300 isn't bad. Both are available up to 2T.

Besides price and warranty (5yr for the 850 EVO vs 3 yr for the MX300), the big difference is that the Samsung is noticeably faster when it comes to very large file copying. I have one of each (2T) and can verify this. In real world uses, most will not notice this.

Amazon prices are good but you can often do better if you shop around.

The Micron 1100 is the OEM version of the Crucial MX300. It's often offered by VARs and system integrators at a bargain price. They are the same unit but there's a catch: No direct support for the 1100. The warranty is only 90 days and the consumer has to go back to the seller, not Micron, if there's a problem.
