Audio bite gain on duplicated clip

Post by insch »

How do I change the audio bite gain on a duplicated clip without affecting the original clip. I alt-dragged the orginal clip which I though created a new discrete clip. But every time I make an audio gain change the original clip follows which I don't want. Any advice? Thanks.

Use the command key for this.

You can also turn Edge Edit Copy on or off as needed in the GE Mini-menu. The command key will temporarily defeat whatever setting you have here.
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

As an addendum to what FM said, if you're in DP 9, p 353 of the DP user guide about Edge Edit Copy is really worth reading and absorbing.
