My recent efforts with DP 9.x and 9.5 produced the same error message.
Just tried again with DP 9.51 and it work!
DP 9.51 Rewire Notion 6.2.439 is working

DP 9.51 Rewire Notion 6.2.439 is working
Apparently there was some error message that would appear when attempting to Rewire DP and Notion as described here.

DP 10.11, Logic 10.5.1, Silverface Apollo Quad/TB, K12UC, Falcon, Integra 7, MIDI guitars etc.
