Looks like High Sierra compatibility is the only change. No updates or fixes listed in the Read Me.

That Read Me is totally useless. Surely it will be updated later.

edit...
When I check from within DP it says no updates available. It might be worth waiting a bit.

In addition to the new features outlined above, Version 9.51 also introduces the following enhancements:
• Improved compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.
• Pitch shifting and time stretching will now function on older Macs.
• Fixed a crash involving old MAS plug-ins lacking standard language localizations

Since it appears to be a bug and License Manager fix only, this is one time I'm letting it overwrite the last version. I see that 9.13 and 9.5 are still there for download if I need.

So far, so good.

The authorization bug is indeed fixed!

The second point signals it's time to install DP9.5.1 on the MacPro 1,1 which is running Mavericks.

Happy Halloween!

Where are you seeing this? I'm not seeing it on the website Read Me or the Digital Performer Updates Notes in the Help Files.

I just updated to 9.51 and all seems okay with a quick spin around the block

On the Downloads page, scroll down to the Music Software section. Click on DP there which will bring up the installer and the Read Me with the information kurtl posted.

Thanks, I see it now. The 9.51 notes are pasted in the middle of the 9.5 paragraph and I kept missing it.

Re: DP 9.5.1 is up. Pitch issue (9.13 to 9.5 / 9.51) Persist

Post by HCMarkus »

I had missed those 9.51 notes, too. Thanks for sharing the info.

On my system, we experienced and reported to MOTU issues when opening 9.13 projects (with edits in the pitch layer created in 9.13) in 9.5.

UPDATE: Just tested in 9.51. Pitch issue persists. MOTU advised.

There was an odd unexpected quit I'd get sometimes when opening a file (since v9) by double-clicking it in the Finder. Too early to tell, but I think it may be fixed. I worked all day yesterday in 9.51 and didn't see it.
