Change a passage modally? [YES. RESOLVED]

Post by FMiguelez »

Hello.
I'm having lunch, supposedly having a much needed break, but I'm thinking I need to improve this workflow.
I thought I was able to not only transpose, but also transform scales?

I must be too tired because I couldn't figure it out :(

I have a poison where I modulate from one kind of octatonic scale to the other. I want to keep the same pseudo-tonic but only want to change the scalar pattern (from whole - half step to half step - whole).

Or change a passage modally but not transpose it. I'm getting tendonitis from so much manual note moving... Is it possible?

You can make a custom map in the transpose window. It's very flexible, so you are just moving notes to the assigned remap.

Once you set it up, you can save it and use it when you need it.

Awesome!
I hadn't realized I could create my own patterns,

Just came back and tried it. It worked exactly as I wanted. It's so intuitive I didn't even bother :rtfmmad:

This feature will be my next new best friend.

Thank you! Especially from my wrists 8)
